When Diets Fail (Helping the Chronic Dieter)
Research shows that most people who go on a diet regain what they lose, yet many continue to search for the “right” diet. Studies suggest that many people trying to lose weight may have problems with emotion- and stress-based eating, and that “diets” and even some behavior modification approaches actually worsen this situation. In this program we look at subgroups of chronic dieters to identify their needs. We discuss retraining thought patterns, body image work and other approaches to establish healthful eating.
